FAQ

The straight answers

Everything about our sources, freshness, hit rates, DNC handling, and retention. If it's not here, ask us.

Data + sourcing
Where does your data come from?

Public records, licensed consumer data (B2C), telco carrier data, and voter files. We do not scrape social networks. Every record traces back to a source, and we honor opt-outs.

How fresh is the data?

Telco is refreshed on a ~31-day cadence. B2C and voter data lag 60–90 days. Every response includes a last_seen date on phone records so you can filter stale numbers.

How accurate is wireless vs landline classification?

Line type comes directly from telco carrier data. Wireless/landline is >99% accurate; VoIP is best-effort (~92%) since porting muddies the signal.

Hit rates + results
What hit rates should I expect?

Phone → identity: 70–85% on active US mobiles. Name+address → phone: 55–70% with a full ZIP. Email → household: 40–60%. Hit rates depend heavily on input quality — normalize before you upload.

What's the difference between basic and full tier?

Basic returns household + best phone + best email. Full returns all phones (up to 3), all emails (up to 3), full demographics, DNC flags, and source attribution.

Do you check DNC status?

Every phone record includes a boolean DNC flag matched against the FTC National Do Not Call Registry. For full DNC scrubbing use our sister tool FreeDNCScrub — this is enrichment, not a compliance certification.

Retention + compliance
How long do you retain my uploads?

Uploaded CSVs and enriched results are stored for 24 hours by default and then purged. Job manifests (stats and links only, no raw data) are retained so your magic link keeps working.

How do I opt out?

Anyone can submit a phone, email, or household_id at /opt-out and we'll suppress it within 24 hours across every downstream product.

Is this FCRA-permissible?

No. TwoCentSkips is a consumer identity resolution tool for skip trace, list hygiene, and marketing enrichment. It is not for credit, employment, or tenant screening. Use a certified CRA for those use cases.
